Dos and Don’ts in UP Cebu

Everyone knows that studying in the University of the Philippines Cebu isn’t similar to high school. Since almost every freshie iskolar is trying to find tips before college life officially begins this August, I decided to share some of the lessons I learned in my four-year stay in this university. (Suggested Reading: What's new in UP Cebu?)
1. Don’t wear your ID. Unless you want to be known as a freshie.
Bring your ID but don’t wear it. Yes, the new NO ID, NO ENTRY policy has already been implemented but students aren't required to wear it; presenting it to the guard upon entry is already enough. Some of the reasons why this has become a norm are the following: ID slings are too expensive, katol ang ID sa liog, and the majority reason is they don't want to be misidentified as a freshie.
2. Do spend your vacant time in one of the tambayans. Relax lang.
College isn't high school nga sunod-sunod ang klase from 7:30 in the morning to 5:30. You'll have a lot o…

How “She’s Dating the Gangster” Could Make You Smile

This isn’t a movie review of the movie “She’s Dating the Gangster” but this is a guide on how to enjoy this feel-good romantic comedy movie of Star Cinema:
1. Enjoy the kilig of Kathniel fever.
This generation’s Teen King and Teen Queen have definitely matured from their previous movies “Pagpag” and “Must Be Love” shown last year. Their maturity as actors will definitely amaze you, probably will leave you in awe.
Kathryn Bernardo acting both Athena Dizon and Kelay is genuinely charming and adorable. While a typical teenager who loves to party will love the character of Kelay more, Athena will make you realize that love is more than just what you imagined.
Daniel Padilla’s acting prowess has moved an inch higher. His character of Kenji delos Reyes and Kenneth will pinch your heart and make you burst into anger at the same time will leave you in a state of delusional euphoria.
If you’re planning to watch this movie, make sure you’re ready to watch the improved version of Kathryn…

“She’s Dating the Gangster” Movie Review: Almost Great

If you’re a fan of Kathryn Bernardo or Daniel Padilla or Richard Gomez or Dawn Zulueta, this is one movie you shouldn’t miss. This romantic comedy offering of Star Cinema can surely make you smile!
KATHNIEL'S BEST
Perhaps this could be Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s best movie yet. I have watched both “Must Be Love” and “Pagpag” and these actors' performances were never excellent. Surely they have matured in “She’s Dating the Gangster” since their last movie.
I have no plan reading the book but due to the movie screenwriter, Carmi Raymundo, who also wrote “One More Chance”, “Caregiver” and “Starting Over Again”, I gave this movie a chance and watched it in cinema on its first day of showing (that #SevenOneSixOneFour). But if you’re planning to watch this movie, think twice.
If you’re a Daniel Padilla fan, this maybe his best performance so far. Admit it, he’s not an excellent actor but his charming aura captured the hearts of millions. I’m not a fan of him but I can say…
